From almost all screens, the data, as shown on the screen, can be manually exported to various file formats. From a screen in list view the data can be saved to a pdf, csv or - if licensed - cvt. A kml file can be created from a screen containing data about the coordinates of a ship. Finally, under license, there is the option to automatically export files once every 24 hours.

Export file manually

To export the data from the screen, choose in the menu File → hover on Export → click on the desired format.

Only if you make an export to csv, pdf or cvt and a filtering or sorting is active, the following message appears to verify whether you want to export the data:

If you want this, click on OK. If you do not want filtering or sorting, click on Cancel or X to return to the screen and remove the filtering and/or sorting, see …

In case the file already exists, you will be asked if you want to replace the file. If you want to replace the file, click on Yes. The file will be saved immediately [LINK]. Clicking on No will open a dialog where the location of the file and file name can be changed.

After the export you will be asked if you want to open the file. Choose Yes to do this, No to return to the screen.

Export file automatically

Only available under license FAE

To enable automatic export in the desired format, see Automatic export settings.

Location export files

All exported files are saved in the export folder of the chosen path, see User settings. Within this export folder there are separate folders for the different types of export files.

The naming of the export files depends on which window the export is made from:

Under construction

Date times are written in the form yyyy-mm-dd_hhmm. If a filter is active, the suffix 'FILTER' is added at the end of the file name.

Content files

Csv files

Csv files are comma separated text files that can be edited in Excel or a similar program. An export to a csv file contains the information visible in the list view from the screen where the file is exported, including filters and sortings. Groupings will not be included.

Pdf files

Pdf files are text files that cannot be edited. An export to a pdf file contains the information visible in the list view from the screen where the file is exported, including any groupings, filters and sortings.

Kml files

Available by default in: service station, depending on user rights. Presentation station must have a separate license.

Kml files are XML files containing geographic information. An export to a kml file contains all the information that is visible in the view from the screen where the file is exported. Grouping, sorting and filters therefore have no influence on the content of a kml export.

Note: If deviations are exported, the pre- and post-run time set will be included. These can be set and changed in Station settings.

To open a kml, Google Earth must be installed. For Windows, this can be downloaded from: https://www.google.com/earth/download/gep/agree.html.

GPS track

The beginning of a track is indicated with an arrow, the end with a flag. The date and time at the beginning and end of a track are also displayed.

Colours of the track

The track can consist of different colours depending on the ship status:

insert colors

Under Station settings you can specify whether a date-time stamp is displayed in the kml export for every change of ship status and whether the registration points should be shown.

Colours of areas
Fleet dependent

Areas appear as a polygon with a transparent fill. The colour depends on the zone of the area:

Zone Colour
0 blue
1 light red
2 light blue
3 Orange

Cvt files

Available with license

Cvt files is a binary file that is mainly used in third-party applications such as Canvas.

see if sorting etc. is included! Wss not, similar to kml

Export chart

A chart can be exported to several files. Via the menu item Export in the screen in which the graph is displayed, the preview screen of the document below is first displayed. For example, it can rotate the page, adjust the background color and add a watermark to the document.

Generating the document with the chart in it, can be done in the following ways:

Next, a dialog opens offering various options to customize the export to your liking. The options vary by file type. For a pdf, the screen looks like this:

After clicking on OK, the export is made and a dialog opens in which the location of the file and the file name can be changed.

If you want to cancel the export in the meantime, click on X or Cancel.
